Further With Ford: Behind The Wheel Experience in San Francisco

Yesterday I had the time of my life, to close out the Ford conference the media in attendance had the opportunity to tour the streets of San Francisco in the latest vehicles from Ford – including the all-new Mustang, Edge, Escape, Explorer and Focus.

Our first destination was the Palace of Fine Arts and we traveled in an all new Ford Mustang Convertible! I had the pleasure of touring the city with my Florida Gal Pals -- Bess Auer from gottagetblogging.com and Brittany Minor from clumpsofmascara.com
I had the opportunity to review the 2015 Ford Mustang
you can view the post here if you missed it!
The Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina District of San Francisco, California, is a monumental structure originally constructed for the Panama-Pacific Exposition in order to exhibit works of art presented there. It was rebuilt in 1965, and renovation of the lagoon, walkways, and a seismic retrofit were completed in early 2009.

Next we swapped out the Mustang for the Ford Edge and headed to Coit Tower
The 2015 Edge was re-engineered from the ground up. Its bold new design grabs attention, while the choice of three powerful engines shatter convention and deliver pure, exhilarating performance. And once behind the wheel, you'll find yourself surrounded by state-of-the-art technologies engineered to inspire confidence on the road.
Coit Tower, a slender white concrete column rising from the top of Telegraph Hill, has been an emblem of San Francisco’s skyline since its completion in 1933.

Our final stop was to the Golden Gate Bridge in the all-new Ford Explorer.
  • New liftgate, new taillamps, new facsia and new exhaust tips
  • Redesigned hood, headlamps, grille, fender and fog lamps
  • Five all-new wheel designs and five new colors
  • Large twin-scroll low-inertia turbocharger separates the exhaust pulses from pairs of cylinders enabling quicker turbine spin-up, enhanced acceleration responsiveness and efficiency.
Once called "the bridge that couldn't be built," today it is one the seven wonders of the modern world. This magnificent span, perhaps San Francisco's most famous landmark, opened in 1937 after a four-year struggle against relentless winds, fog, rock and treacherous tides.

San Francisco is a beautiful city and the weather was amazing, I really didn't want to return to the heat of Atlanta. I'm very thankful that Ford selected me for this opportunity! Thanks for the adventure.
